What the Occupational Injuries Benefit Scheme is
The Occupational Injuries Benefit scheme provides benefits to people who were injured at work, who acquired an occupational disease at work, or who were injured travelling to and from work.
There are a range of benefits available under this scheme, with different qualifying conditions.
The two main payments are:

- Death Benefit Scheme (under the Occupational Injuries Scheme)
- Guardian's Payment ( Orphan’s Pension awarded under the Death Benefit Scheme )
- Incapacity Supplement
- Medical Care Scheme
- Special Funeral Grant (under the Occupational Injuries Benefit scheme)
- Widow’s, Widower’s or Surviving Civil Partner’s (Non-contributory) Pension
