The Department of Social Protection (DSP) is currently engaged in the development and preparation of its new Statement of Strategy to cover the period 2025-2028.

This important document will set out our high-level goals and objectives as well as the strategies and actions to be progressed to achieve our mission, which is:

To promote active participation and inclusion in society through the provision of income supports, employment services and other services. We put our clients at the centre of all our operations, providing an integrated income support and activation focused service.

To assist the department in defining its strategic vision for the next three years, you are now invited to submit your views as to the issues or topics that should be focused on within the Statement of Strategy.

The closing date for receipt of submissions is 5pm, Friday 7 March 2025.

Personal information should not be provided and any personal information which you volunteer may be published. Any material which you do not wish to be made public should not be included.

Material or information that is regarded as commercially sensitive by you should not be included.

However, if you provide it you should clearly identify the material and the reason for its sensitivity and why it should not be published or made available under the Freedom of Information Act.
