Control Office

The Control Office develops policy and manage support services to the department and where appropriate, the wider public service. This includes matters like illness benefit, PRSI, and R&I Operations.

This Division is responsible for progressing the department's Compliance and Anti-fraud Strategy, including:

• developing policy and co-ordinating control activities
• enhancing debt management activity
• managing the criminal and civil prosecution of welfare offences
• managing and developing the Maintenance Recovery Scheme
