Introduction
The Civil Service People Strategy 2017-2020, set the Strategic Human Resources (HR) agenda for the civil service and focused on three cross-cutting priorities; being an employer of choice; building the workforce of the future and building, supporting and valuing managers as people developers.
The implementation of the ‘People Strategy 2020-2023’, will ensure that we are equipped to thrive in an online world and continue to excel at face to face customer service.
Wellbeing
The Department of Social Protection is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for its staff, including one that supports their physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing. The Department seeks to support staff to protect and improve their health and wellbeing and, in so doing, maintain and enhance their resilience and their ability to prosper at work. To enable this, there is a dedicated Wellbeing Unit within the HR Division with responsibility for implementing the Staff Health and Wellbeing Policy.
Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
The Department of Social protection is an equal opportunities employer with a strong commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace. This commitment is reflected in the Departments Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Policy and a dedicated Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Unit within the HR Division.
