Minister Calleary encourages Jobseekers to attend Dublin Work and Skills Events

Minister for Social Protection Dara Calleary today encouraged all jobseekers seeking new job opportunities and those looking to upskill to attend an Intreo Work and Skills event taking place in Dublin.
The Intreo Work and Skills events provide jobseekers with an opportunity to connect with employers who are actively recruiting, to learn about the training options available, and avail of job seeking advice to help them take the next step in their career.

At the multi sector recruitment event in Tallaght, roles are available for Stock Controllers, Supervisors, Project and Commissioning Engineers, Accounts Assistants, in addition to roles for carer and hospitality. The RSA, Public Jobs, Veolia Water Technologies and the Defence Forces are among the employers attending.
In Ballyfermot, vacancies are available for Home Helps and Drivers, while Medforce are looking for candidates for hospital roles at all skill levels. MyHomecare are looking to connect with care assistants, cleaners and nurses, while Platinum have opportunities for carers. In Balbriggan, roles are available in Construction, Warehousing, Supply Chain and Logistics.
Commenting on Work and Skills, Minister Calleary said:
“These events are a great opportunity to meet with employers, to find out more about the jobs they have on offer by chatting one on one with their recruitment teams.
“If you are planning a new career, many training providers will be in attendance offering advice on upskilling and reskilling options. And if you are looking for advice on CVs and interview preparation, check out some of the workshops taking place at a number of the events.
“Our team will also be available to provide advice on the support and services available from my department.”
