Minister Calleary highlights the employment opportunities available at the Intreo Work and Skills Event in Ballina

The Minister for Social Protection Dara Calleary today encouraged jobseekers to visit the multi sector recruitment fair taking place at the Great National Hotel, Ballina, on Friday 11 April from 10am to 1pm.

The event is part of the Department of Social Protection’s Intreo Work and Skills initiative.

The Intreo work and skills events provide jobseekers with an opportunity to connect with employers who are actively recruiting. Jobseekers can also learn about the training options available, and avail of job seeking advice to help them take the next step in their career.

Employers who will be attending the event in Ballina include Coca Cola, Bus Eireann, Ballina Credit Union, Murray’s Ambulance Service, and Connaught Distillery among many others.

Jobs on offer at the event include roles for HR Managers, Regional Sales personnel, Manufacturing personnel, Project and Business Development Managers, and Ambulance Practitioners and Carers.

Commenting on the event, Minister Calleary said:

“Whether you are looking for a career as a HR Specialist or Carer, or seeking a managerial role, these events can help you to achieve your goals.

“Through providing supports and guidance to help you to achieve your career goals, linking you directly with employers or providing you with access to the training to gain new skills, we’re here to support you each step of the way.”
