  • tax details in payroll
  • Higher Education Grant applications

  • private site applications

The council does not use the PPSN as the primary or unique identifier, in any of its applications.

Yes - with the Revenue Commissioners for tax purposes.

What future plans has your County Council for the use of the PPS Number?

Offaly County Council recognises the importance of the PPSN, particularly in the context of Information Society initiatives. It is intended to encourage the use of the PPSN across the organisation, as a primary means of identifying our citizen base in all applications.
