Chief Medical Officer, Medical Review and Assessment Section

The Chief Medical Officer oversees the medical review and assessment section, for the departments illness, disability and carer’s related schemes.

With responsibility for the provision of professional medical input to the formulation of policy and strategies in the areas of occupational health as they refer to DSP Schemes and customers.

Also responsible for the management and development of the Medical Assessors team and their work in providing medical opinions required for applications to the various illness & disability schemes and control reviews in DSP.
