Philip Nugent is the Assistant Secretary leading the Environment function (Circular Economy and Governance) at the Department of the Enviornment, Climate and Communications. He is responsible for policy across mineral exploration and mining, petroleum exploration and extraction, the Geological Survey of Ireland, inland fisheries, and waste and resource efficiency.
