Description
The Riverine Community Park is a cross border Community Park within Lifford (Co. Donegal), Republic of Ireland (ROI) and Strabane (Co. Tyrone), Northern Ireland currently divided by the River Foyle.
It will connect the two currently separated lands either side of the border with a new pedestrian and cycle bridge, create a shared community parkland which links to the wider landscape and adjacent border towns through new routes.
The Project includes two foreshore elements: a lease application for a slipway, which will provide access to the river for both pedestrians and vehicles; a licence application for a pedestrian and cycle bridge.
