In recent years, two of Ireland's lead - zinc mines have ceased production - Galmoy Mine in Co. Kilkenny in October 2012 and Lisheen Mine in Co. Tipperary in December 2015.
In March 2017, data from these two mines became publically available for the first time. The data covers mine geology, geotechnical data, groundwater data, mining data and mine closure plans. See below for more information on the available data from each mine.
