Renewable Electricity Support Scheme - Schedule of Future Auctions

Ireland is required to regularly publish a schedule of future renewable electricity support scheme auctions on an annual basis as part of the transposed RED II directive S.I. No. 365 of 2020.

The document below provides a proposed schedule of RESS auctions for the next three years. The indicative volumes are based on estimated renewable generation volumes required to meet Ireland’s target of 80% RES-E by 2030.

While the auction volumes and dates are indicative, and subject to change, particularly in relation to developments in both supply and demand, it is an important signal for the development of the renewable energy pipeline and for investor certainty.
