Chief Technology Officer, Strategy Development and Business Management Division

The Chief Technology Officer for Communications has responsibility for leading the Strategy Development and Business Management Division. The division is responsible for:

  • Market surveillance of fixed and mobile network rollouts and development of policies to address identified issues
  • Development and oversight of strategies to deliver the department’s Digital Connectivity targets, including international subsea telecoms cable developments
  • Engaging proactively with EU and international radio spectrum policy development forums.
  • Supporting the adoption of new and emerging connectivity technologies to ensure that Ireland is positioned to take advantage of key connectivity technology advances
  • Supporting other Communications divisions with technical advice
