12.45pm: ESB Networks Storm Barra update: Crews are restoring power where safe to do so

  • as at 12.45pm, approximately 49,000 electricity customers are without power across the country

9.20am: All Post Offices in Cork and Kerry will remain closed and there will be no mail deliveries or collections. In Co Clare, postal deliveries services will operate as normal until 2pm and Post Offices will close at 2pm. Any Children’s Allowance payments due for payment today, will be paid at Post Offices tomorrow. Letter, parcel and Post Office services will operate as normal in all other counties today.

7.25am: All rail services will continue but people are warned to expect delays and trains will travel at reduced speed in Kerry and Cork

6.15am: DSP offices and branch offices will be closed in counties Clare, Cork, Limerick and Kerry today.

Monday 6 December

8.35pm: Courts services in counties Cork, Kerry and Clare are cancelled on Tuesday. Courts in Castlebar (Mayo) and Newcastle West (Limerick) are also closed.

5.30pm: All Bus Éireann services in Cork and Kerry are cancelled on Tuesday. Commuter services in Limerick will stop at 4pm Tuesday until 1am on Wednesday.
