Taoiseach expresses Ireland's condolences to Spanish Prime Minister

Taoiseach Simon Harris has this evening been in contact with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.

The Taoiseach expressed Ireland’s horror and sorrow at the number of people who have lost their lives in the flooding disaster in the south and east of Spain.

The Taoiseach said the emerging stories of loss and injury are heartbreaking.

Prime Minister Sanchez thanked the people of Ireland for their solidarity and kindness.

Ireland will help in every way we can, including through EU structures.
