Taoiseach welcomes Irish HockeyID Team to Government Buildings

Taoiseach Simon Harris today welcomed the Irish HockeyID Team, coaches and representatives from Hockey Ireland to Government Buildings to mark their hugely successful win at the 2024 Special Olympics National Games in the Netherlands.
The Taoiseach congratulated the team for their success and wished them well in their upcoming matches and tournaments.
The Taoiseach said:
“I was thrilled to welcome HockeyID players, coaches and representatives from Hockey Ireland to Government Buildings today following the team winning gold at the 2024 Special Olympics National Games.
“This team has brought so much pride to our country with their achievements and we are excited to see what’s next for this fantastic group.
“Participation in sport has a unique way of bringing people together and I know this team will inspire many others to get involved in not only hockey, but all sports.”
