Cross-Government Network

The purpose of the Cross-Government Network is to bring together the wide range of actors across government departments, their agencies and local authorities who are responsible for implementing actions and policies which impact on the objective to end child poverty and enhance child well-being. The network will create a platform to support this diverse work and identify shared purpose and mission.

The network is open to all staff with relevant responsibilities and who wish to participate. We envisage that in most organisations this will mean multiple participants who will attend network meetings as relevant and when of interest to their individual briefs. The network will meet 3-4 times per year, and provide an opportunity for information sharing, learning and reflection.

The specific objectives of the network are to:

1. Identify an informal network of civil and public servants responsible for delivering actions which contribute to ending child poverty and promoting child well-being.

2. Enhance cross-government visibility of the wide range of responses and actors relevant to delivering outcomes on child poverty and promoting child well-being.

3. Foster a shared sense of ownership and mission in relation to ending child poverty and promoting child well-being.

4. Feed into the development of an annual child poverty summit and annual update report.
