Housing - North West

For social housing in the North West, the target across the 2016-2021 period is to deliver approximately 1,600 additional social homes under this programme. Over two thirds of this will be through new build and a healthy pipeline of activity is already in place with over 440 units completed, on site or progressing through approval stages. This build pipeline is continuously being added to and will be supplemented with Acquisition and Leasing activity to deliver targets to 2021 and beyond. In addition, flexible Housing Supports such as HAP and RAS will continue to deliver well for the region.

Of the 440 additional social housing units in current delivery, specific examples would include projects at Long Lane, Letterkenny 29 homes; Manorhamilton in Leitrim 7 homes; Collooney, Sligo 15 homes; and in Sligo Town, Knappagh Road, 28 new homes and Fr. Flanagan Terrace, 22 homes, and many more listed on the Rebuilding Ireland website.
