Extension of Deadline for Reporting and Publication of Second Interim Report

Following a formal request from the NAMA Commission of Investigation under section 6 (6) of the Commissions of Investigation Act 2004, the Taoiseach has extended the timeframe for the Commission to report until 31 December 2018.

Under its terms of reference the Commission had been due to report by the end of June 2018, subject to section 6 (6) of the Commissions of Investigation Act 2004, which provides for an extension of the timeframe for reporting at the Commission's request.

Following consultation with the Commission, the Taoiseach has also decided to publish the Commission’s Second Interim Report in which it requested the extension of its timeframe for reporting.

Submission of such an Interim Report is a requirement under Section 33 (3) of the Act when an extension of a timeframe for reporting is requested by a Commission.

The Interim Report outlines the steps carried out by the Commission since its establishment.
