This scheme was established in October 2015 to assist youth organisations and schools who set up Clár Techspace to purchase digital media equipment.
Under this scheme, a maximum grant of €2,000 will be available for eligible applicants to purchase digital media equipment and to cover travel and subsistence costs up to a maximum of €300 to attend Clár Techspace training courses.
Techspace, which is a Camara Ireland Limited project, acts as a national network of digital media spaces in youth organisations and schools to help young people actively create digital and technological content. At the beginning of 2015, the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht provided funding to Camara Ireland to have online training material translated into Irish and to organise training courses for those interested in establishing a Clár Techspace.
Applications under this scheme will be accepted from schools and youth organisations who have sent participants on TechSpace as Gaeilge training courses. Application forms are available at the following link:
This project is being funded under the 20-Year Strategy for the Irish Language 2010-2030.
