Brief summary of the bearing it has on our work, including in particular whether it involves us taking on commitments
Any Community may consider establishing an Inshore Rescue Service in their locality, having considered the general principles and requirements concerning the administration of a station, and the operational benefits (i.e. topography, launch area, additional procedures to be in place or specific equipment to meet the particular demands in providing a rescue service and ensuring the safety of the crew in fulfilling the task for which established). It is the responsibility of the IRCG to recognise a particular service as a “Declared Facility” of the Irish SAR Organisation
The IRCG administers and provides grants to approved members to cover day to day expenses (current) and purchase of infrastructure (capital) that will increase the effectiveness of the service in support of IRCG responsibilities, provide an operational and/or administrative quality improvement and improve the overall national response structure
