Irish Coast Guard to lead a large-scale maritime exercise

The Irish Coast Guard will lead a large-scale maritime exercise along with other agencies off the Kerry coast this Wednesday 15th & Thursday 16th September. The exercise titled ‘Blue Kingdom’ will test major incident plans and will focus on the operational capability and co-ordination of the relevant authorities for a major maritime ship casualty incident.
Agencies involved in this exercise include Kerry County Council, HSE, An Garda Síochána, Dublin Fire Brigade, Naval Service, Air Corps, RNLI and others.
The exercise will be conducted in the proximity of Dingle Bay and include both live and virtual participation. There will be no disruption to services during this exercise.
