Report on Current Data Availability and Quality in Respect of Road Freight

On 30 April 2024, the Department of Transport published the ‘Report on Current Data Availability and Quality in Respect of Road Freight’. This report, which was prepared on behalf of the Department by Indecon International Research Economists and finalised following consultation with by the Road Freight Forum, completes Action 2 of Ireland’s Road Haulage Strategy 2022–2031which was to ‘commission a study to establish current data availability and quality [in the road freight sector], identify key data gaps and explore at a high level how these might be filled.
