Electric Vehicle Public Charge Point Grant
This scheme has now closed.
A new residential charging grant is in development which will focus on providing neighbourhood and residential charging solutions, particularly in areas where off-street charging is either limited or not possible.
Procurement
The Office of Government Procurement (OGP) has drawn up fixed price procurement frameworks for the supply of long and medium range battery electric passenger cars and vans to public sector bodies. Full details on how to use the framework as well as pricing and supplier contact details can be found on the OGP website.
These Frameworks will greatly assist government departments and bodies to purchase electric cars and vans.
A number of centralised procurement solutions are being examined to support public sector organisations wishing to install EV charging infrastructure.
Centralised procurement will ensure that the public network is rolled out according to a set of appropriate standards. These standards will include safety, universal operability and usage accessibility requirements and will also provide for the rollout of future innovation as charging technology develops.
