Passenger boats which carry passengers for reward must have the appropriate licence. All passengers can ask to view the passenger licence when boarding a vessel.
A passenger boat is a vessel carrying not more than 12 passengers for reward.
A passenger ship is a vessel carrying more than 12 passengers.
