Leitrim County Council, is proposing to develop a Blueway Project approximately 8.5km in length along the route of the River Shannon from Carrick-on-Shannon to Leitrim Village and on to Battlebridge to connect to the existing Blueway which runs from Battlebridge to Acres Lake in Drumshanbo.
