Following a Public Appointment’s Service Campaign, the Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has appointed the following members to the Board of the Irish Blood Transfusion Service with effect from 28 March 2023 to 27 March 2026.
Kevin Gregory is a Chartered Accountant and currently the Director of Finance with the charity Barnardos. He has over ten years of strategic senior leadership experience and operational responsibility for finance in the community and voluntary sectors. He previously worked as the Interim Director of Finance in Focus Ireland, the Head of Finance and Operations in the NGO Vita and Community Foundation for Ireland. He is a Director of the Irish Penal Reform Trust and treasurer of their Finance, Risk, HR & Fundraising Committee, and a former Director of Volunteer Ireland.
Peter Dennehy is a Barrister-at-Law, Chartered Engineer and Chartered Arbitrator. He is currently a Member of the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland and member of the Audit Committee of the Adelaide and Meath Hospital in Dublin. He previously worked as the Chief Officer of the Pre Hospital Emergency Care Council and Deputy CEO, Director of Corporate Services & Board Secretary at the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland, and Director of Corporate Services of the Road Safety Authority.
