The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has reappointed Ms. Mary Kavanagh to the National Haemophilia Council Board from 5 August 2023 until 4 August 2026.
Mary is the Clinical Nurse specialist at Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin. She qualified as a general adult nurse in 1996 and as a children's nurse in 1997. She has worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Haemophilia since 2001.She has been appointed as the new Chairperson of the European Association of Haemophilia and Allied Disorders (EAHAD) Nurses committee. Mr. Brian Fitzgerald states "Ms Kavanagh has provided excellent care and expertise to children with haemophilia for many years."
