Mr Eamon Morris
Eamonn is a highly accomplished senior executive with over 33 years’ experience including 22 years serving as a board member in both public and private limited companies. Having delivered software solutions & services across the UK, Ireland, and the Asia-Pacific region, Eamonn has managed change, risk, finances, commercial negotiations, communications, strategy development, corporate governance and, most important, people. He brings with him extensive, professional experience in quality assurance and organisational management as well as data management, including data sharing and data protection. In addition, his work with key stakeholders in the health sector has provided him with sound knowledge of this sector and he has a thorough understanding of the public sector environment.
Dr Robert O’Connor
Dr. Robert O’Connor is the Head of Research for the Irish Cancer Society. Dr. O’Connor is a scientist by background and his specialist area is the understanding of cancer medicines and how they work. He graduated with his doctorate in 1995 and was a lecturer and cancer researcher in Dublin City University until 2015 when he took over the role as Head of Research for the Irish Cancer Society. This role sees him lead implementation of research strategy of the charity in this important part of its goal to improve outcome for people impacted by cancer. A key focus of that strategy is to ensure that patients are at the heart of cancer research in Ireland. He is passionate about communicating the facts about science and health to help those impacted by cancer to make the best decisions for themselves and those they care about.
