Reduce Your Use

As part of its Reduce Your Use campaign, the government is asking people to stay warm and well this winter and to know that help is available if they need it over the coming weeks and months: Reduce Your Use Campaign .

Given the ongoing situation in relation to energy prices and supply, the government has decided that all public sector bodies must continue to lead by example in lowering energy consumption and costs by signing up to the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) and the Office of Public Works' (OPW) Reduce Your Use energy efficiency campaign for public bodies. All participating bodies will receive supports and messages to share with staff in their organsiations to promote energy efficiency behaviour at work, at home and as we travel. Information about this campaign can be accessed on the SEAI's Reduce Your Use pages for public bodies and schools.

In addition to this, public sector bodies must also implement appropriate measures set out in the mandatory requirements approved by Cabinet:Mandatory requirements .

The information leaflet below gives advice on how to be more conscious about energy usage and to assist to Reduce your Use.
