Social Media Policy

The Office of Public Works' (OPW) Twitter presence is managed by the OPW Press Office.

If you follow us, you can expect tweets covering some or all of the following:

  • press releases on OPW activities and Ministerial speeches
  • event information
  • alerts about new content on our website
  • other practical information on services available through the OPW

Who we follow

If you follow us, we will not automatically follow you back. This is to help our followers identify other Twitter accounts that we are following, such as other government departments and State promotion agencies, the Houses of the Oireachtas, relevant European institutions and accounts of particular relevance to Ireland and the OPW.


@Replies and Direct Messages

We welcome feedback and ideas from all our followers, however, we will not be able to reply individually to the messages we receive via Twitter.

The best means of communicating a query to the Office of Public Works is by emailing info@opw.ie

Please do not include personal or private information in your tweets to us.

We will only retweet information which is in line with Office of Public Works Press Office guidelines.
