Social Media Policy
The Office of Public Works' (OPW) Twitter presence is managed by the OPW Press Office.
If you follow us, you can expect tweets covering some or all of the following:
- press releases on OPW activities and Ministerial speeches

- alerts about new content on our website
- other practical information on services available through the OPW
Who we follow
If you follow us, we will not automatically follow you back. This is to help our followers identify other Twitter accounts that we are following, such as other government departments and State promotion agencies, the Houses of the Oireachtas, relevant European institutions and accounts of particular relevance to Ireland and the OPW.
@Replies and Direct Messages
We welcome feedback and ideas from all our followers, however, we will not be able to reply individually to the messages we receive via Twitter.
The best means of communicating a query to the Office of Public Works is by emailing info@opw.ie
Please do not include personal or private information in your tweets to us.
Retweets
We will only retweet information which is in line with Office of Public Works Press Office guidelines.
Retweets should not be viewed as an endorsement of information.
Availability
Twitter may occasionally be unavailable and we accept no responsibility for lack of service due to Twitter downtime.
Abusive or spam tweets will result in followers being blocked and reported directly to Twitter.
