Park Superintendent Grade II-Tree Officer in the Office of Public Works

The Office of Public Works (OPW) is the largest single custodian of Historic Parks, Gardens and Designed Landscapes in the state, with a portfolio including 11 international and three nationally ranked gardens. A vacancy currently exists for Park Superintendent Grade II-Tree Officer.

Reporting to the Chief Park Superintendent, the Park Superintendent -Tree Officer Grade II will be responsible for the efficient implementation of the OPW Tree Safety Management System in National Historic Properties in addition to co-ordinating tree management services for heritage services.

Quantity Surveyor Grade II in the Office of Public Works

The Office of Public Works (OPW) is seeking suitably qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyors (Grade II) to join the Quantity Surveying Section.

The OPW's Quantity Surveying Section provides project specific & strategic development advice to internal and public stakeholders, spanning a diverse range of projects and every stage of the Capital Works Management Framework. The Section collaborates with colleagues to deliver quality schemes in a timely cost–effective manner that satisfies clients strategic & operational needs.

Flood and Coastal Risk Officer –Grade II

The Office of Public Works (OPW) is the lead agency in co-ordinating flood risk management policy, the flood relief capital programme and the technical assessment of coastal change risks in Ireland. It has also recently been designated as the national leadco-ordinating body for the assessment of coastal change hazards and risks and the assessment of technical options and constraints for managing these risks. Flood Risk Management Services is the Business Unit in the OPW tasked with discharging these responsibilities.

The OPW now requires the assistance of Flood and Coastal Risk Officers at Grade II level to support the flood and coastal risk management programme. This is a new role within the OPW, and successful candidates will be assigned to a section of OPW’s Flood Risk Management Services.

Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Officer (Grade III)

The Office of Public Works (OPW) is a key service provider to the Government of Ireland, playing a central role in protecting communities through its work in Flood Risk Management and Coastal Change Monitoring. This work includes designing and delivering effective flood relief measures, integrating climate adaptation strategies and providing expert advice to Government on flood risk and mitigation policies.

OPW now have vacancies for GIS Officer’s (Grade III). These are entry-level positions, suitable for recent graduates or early-career professionals.
