61% of office space in the Portfolio is state owned. OPW's objective is to hold, manage and maintain properties that are suited to Government delivery needs in terms of size, location, specification, value for money, and optimum utilisation.
OPW has made significant reductions in its rental property footprint through a targeted property rationalisation strategy. The percentage of leased properties has fallen from 54% in 2008 to the current level of 39% as of year end 2021.
