We issue ISBN numbers and barcodes for publications that will be sold through this office. You may download the ISBN Barcode Application Form‌ at the bottom of this page.
Completed application forms can be forwarded by email to publications@opw.ie
Please note that as and from 1 June 2012, Houses of the Oireachtas, as part of a review of its processes removed the requirement for documents laid to have a Parliamentary Number (PRN). As a consequence, the Government Publications Office ceased to issue PRN on behalf of the Houses of the Oireachtas Commission.

All documents to be sold through the Government Publications Office must include our sales imprint. Please download the current version.
Statutory Instruments
Government Publications issues Statutory Instrument (SI) numbers. These numbers are issued in series in respect of each calendar year. All SIs must be laid before the Houses of the Oireachtas.
