The Government Publications Office provides a sales outlet by mail order to the public for most government publications. Orders are accepted by telephone, email and post. The Office also publishes Iris Oifigiúil, the State's official gazette, which is published twice weekly on Tuesday and Friday in hard copy and online.

Monday to Friday 10.00 to 12.30 and 14.00 to 16.00.
Queries to publications@opw.ie will be responded to on the next working day.
Please note that personal callers cannot be admitted.

- Law (Acts, Bills and Statutory Instruments)
- Dáil and Seanad Debates (Bound Volumes)
- reports or studies produced or commissioned by government departments
- certain syllabi, curricula and guidelines produced by the Department of Education and Skills
- formulae and tables approved for use at public examinations
- guidelines produced by government departments relating to building, fire-safety, restoration of historic buildings and so on
- architectural and archaeological publications produced by the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht
- Central Statistics Office (CSO) Reports
- tribunal reports
- general interest – Irish Constitution for example
- Iris Oifigiúil
Government publications does not supply:
- government publications that are free
- government publications only available as Internet downloads
- the hard copy primary school curriculum (English language set) - now only available on CD or on www.ncca.ie
Most Law pre-dating the Foundation of the State – www.tso.co.uk. The electronic Irish Statute Book provides access to the searchable text of most of the pre 1922 public and general statutes still in force in the State following the enactment of the Statute Law Revision Act 2007 and is available at www.irishstatutebook.ie/pre-acts.
