Parliamentary Counsel – Group 1

Responsible for the delivery, co-ordination and management of professional legislative drafting services by a group of specialist legislative drafters (Parliamentary Counsel) for the following Departments of State:

• Department of Environment, Climate and Communications
• Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage
• Department of Rural and Community Development
• Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media
• Department of Transport.

Margaret is a member of the Government Legislation Committee and attends meetings of the Committee with regard to legislative drafting work falling within her remit.
