This framework agreement can be used to source a range of disposable catering products and meal containers.
This framework agreement provides a variety of popular disposable catering products, including cups, cutlery, food bags, bowls, plates and meal containers. It also offers napkins, greaseproof paper, food handling Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and food wrapping materials.

All materials used are environmentally friendly, in line with the EU ban on single use plastics. For more green benefits, please see the Buyer Zone .
The EU aims to reduce the volume and impact of specific plastic products on the environment through Directive (EU) 2019/904 on the reduction of the impact of certain plastic products on the environment. This is commonly referred to as the Single Use Plastics Directive.

This is a second generation framework that was designed to coincide with the introduction of the Single Use Plastics Directive on the 1st July, 2021 as many commonly used products will now be banned from sale.
One of the main objectives of this second generation framework was to formalise the procurement of compostable or renewable alternatives to many of the single use plastic products supplied under the first generation FW.
All disposable items supplied under this arrangement must be sustainable or recyclable, made of either recyclable plastic or compostable material; except where not generally recyclable - catering films for example (at the time of publishing).
Goods supplied will conform to EN 13432 (Composting and Biodegradation) (where possible).

Expires: June 30, 2025
Contract extensions may be available for this arrangement; please check the Buyer Zone or contact support@ogp.gov.ie for further information. Specifically, if you are concerned that the expiry date will have an impact on your requirements.
