the development of an effective Strategic HR management policy in order to ensure the development of an engaged, high performing workforce required to achieve the department's business objectives with a particular focus on organisational development, employee engagement and staff learning and development
supporting the delivery of the department's obligations under the Civil Service Renewal Plan
managing the corporate services and accommodation function of the department
co-ordinating and developing internal ICT services, internal purchasing and procurement policy
the provision of legal services to the Minister and the department
managing the external communications function
interacting with the Oireachtas and managing the Parliamentary, Freedom of Information and Records Management processes of the department
developing the Governance Framework for the department
compliance with the Lobbying Act and the Protected Disclosures Act
business planning, risk management and Programme Management Office functions
The Division is also responsible for the department's interaction with ongoing Commissions of Investigation.
