The Chief State Solicitor's Office employs over 350 people in legal and administrative roles.
To join the CSSO as a solicitor you must be enrolled as a solicitor in the State.
To join the CSSO as a legal executive you must have at least two years' experience in legal duties in a solicitor's office and hold an approved diploma in legal studies.
Our Trainee Solicitor Scheme runs annually, offering the opportunity to become a solicitor through the CSSO's traineeship programme.
We also recruit administrative staff at all civil service grades.
Our recruitment competitions are run by our own recruitment and selection team or by the Public Appointments Service on our behalf.
