Minister O'Donovan announces funding approval for coastal protection works at Ballyheigue, Co. Kerry

Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works, Patrick O’Donovan, has announced the approval of Kerry County Council’s application under the Office of Public Works’ Minor Flood Mitigation Works and Coastal Protection Scheme. Under the scheme, the Office of Public Works (OPW) has approved additional funding of €307,910 for the use of rock armour to stabilise the cliff, including a concrete toe anchored into rock, at Ballyheigue.
This funding is in addition to €231,489 previously approved on 30 June 2020 bringing the total funding allocation by the OPW for these works to €539,399.
