Minister Richmond visits the Local Enterprise Office in Clonmel

Minister of State for Employment Affairs and Retail Business, Neale Richmond, visited the Tipperary Local Enterprise Office (LEO) in Clonmel last Friday (9 February).
The Minister was greeted by CEO of Tipperary County Council, Joe McGrath, Head of Enterprise Anthony Fitzgerald, and Councillor Ger D’Arcy where he was introduced to some members of the LEO team, as well as some of their client companies.
Minister Richmond said:
"I am delighted to be here in Questum Accelaration Centre in Clonmel. I want to extend my thanks to my hosts in Clonmel County Council and the Local Enterprise Office Team.
"I always enjoy the opportunity to meet some of the brave entrepreneurs, who with the assistance of the Local Enterprise Offices, have taken those steps to create new businesses. The LEO team here work tirelessly to help entrepreneurs and small businesses."
The Minister was introduced to representatives from some of the local businesses that have been assisted by the LEO including Michael Heffernan, owner of MH Engineering Limited, who has been a leading provider of specialized engineering services across Ireland.
Minister Richmond then met John O’Rourke, Founder of Point Zero 1 Limited, who have been providing a comprehensive suite of innovative product and engineering solutions across the medical device, pharmaceutical, and high-volume automated manufacturing industries across Ireland. Currently employing two part time employees, this company clients include Boston Scientific and Ducit Medical.
On the conclusion of his visit, Minister Richmond said:
"It was a pleasure to meet the team and clients from the Local Enterprise Office in Clonmel. It is always enjoyable to see firsthand the positive impact the LEOs have in helping new businesses to get up and running.
"The entrepreneurs I met today show the diversity of businesses that are emerging from Clonmel and illustrate the possibilities that are open to anyone who wishes to start or grow their own business. I would strongly encourage anyone who is thinking of starting their own business to contact their LEO to see what supports are available to them."
