Government Chief-Whip and Minister of State for the Irish Language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands Seán Kyne TD announced that he has approved a grant of up to €29,753 to Coláiste UISCE Teo, An Eachléim, County Mayo, to enable them to carry out safety works and to purchase equipment.
The Coláiste has stated that the grant will be of great help to them – particularly as the Coláiste wants to provide a service to a greater number of students as well as promote the Irish language amongst their students, both young and old, throughout the year. The local community will also benefit from the grant as Irish language activities will be staged locally as a result.
This funding is being approved in accordance with measures 2.13, 2.14 and 2.15 under Area for Action 2: The Gaeltacht of the Government’s Action Plan 2018-2022 for the implementation of the 20-Year Strategy for the Irish Language.
