Part of a billion dollar US entity Otter Products EMEA was first established in George’s Quay, Cork during 2010, with the support of the Irish Government through IDA Ireland. Otter Products has since accelerated growth across the EMEA market year on year. Now an established brand in the European smartphone and tablet case industry, the company has stepped up to the next phase in their development. Moving to their new purpose designed premises on South Mall represents a significant chapter in sustainable business growth, a commitment both to their employees and to the EMEA market, with Cork as European HQ. Otter Products EMEA (OtterBox and LifeProof consumer brands) currently has 73 employees across the region, with approximately 50 of those based in their Cork office. This new office has capacity for up to 100 employees, a further sign of the business’ ambitious growth objectives.
Upon officially opening the company’s new South Mall premises, Barrie Collins, Managing Director, said:
"We have built a business that is connected globally but works locally, our people are central to our success and I see this office as a sign of where we are and setting us up for further expansion, as we near our 10th anniversary in Europe."
Congratulating the company on its new Cork office, Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation Heather Humphreys TD said:
"I would like to congratulate Otter Products on the opening of their new premises in the heart of Cork City. They have been in Cork for almost a decade now and this new office gives them capacity to grow and it further deepens their commitment to Ireland. I wish them well for the future."
