The Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage on 07 February 2022, formally appointed two candidates to the Board of the Residential Tenancies Board.
The Residential Tenancies Board is an independent statutory agency established in 2004 under the Residential Tenancies Act and it main functions are:
• The resolution of disputes between tenants and landlords;
• The registration of tenancies in the private rented and approved housing bodies sectors;
• The provision of advice to the Minister in relation to the private rented sector.
The Minister has appointed from 07 February 2022 to 06 February 2027, Sheila O’Riordan and Paul Dunne.
The candidates all applied for the positions via the Stateboards.ie website operated by the Public Appointments Service. The new appointees will bring valuable experience to the Board across a variety of areas.
This brings the Board membership to 12 persons.
