OPW announces dates for paid car-parking at Glendalough Visitor Centre

The OPW today announced the arrangements that will apply during 2020 for the management of the carpark at the popular Glendalough Visitor Centre in Laragh, Co Wicklow.
With effect from Saturday, 1 February 2020, contractors acting on the OPW's behalf will start the 2020 paid-admission operation of the carpark.
Visitors to the Glendalough Visitor Centre will be refunded this amount when they purchase admission to the Centre.
The OPW also confirmed that Tour Operator buses who use the carpark to visit the Centre and the Monastic Site will not be charged for parking; however, all other buses will be charged per the rate below.
Outside of these dates the car park is free.

Visitors to the Glendalough Visitor Centre will be refunded this charge on their Admission fee.

Glendalough is an early Christian ecclesiastical settlement which was founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century. Set in a glaciated valley with two lakes, the monastic remains include a superb round tower, stone churches and decorated crosses.
The site is open all year round.
