The Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection in conjunction with Springboard Training Providers namely CIT, UCC, Innopharmalabs is hosting a Training Event in the Department’s Intreo Centre at Abbey Court House, George’s Quay, Cork City on Thursday 25th July 2019.
The Springboard + upskilling programmes are aligned to the top upskilling needs of manufacturing, engineering, pharma, biopharma sectors.
The majority of courses are part-time with a maximum of 12 months duration and are open to all eligible applicants whether they are unemployed, employed, or a returner. All are welcome to this free event which will take place between 1pm and 4pm. This is an ideal opportunity to meet with the local training providers to learn about the range of course options, to discuss course details, the Springboard registration process and any other queries you may have.
Marie O’Flynn, Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection Divisional Manager for Cork urged jobseekers and people considering changing their career to attend the event:

All Springboard programmes are developed in collaboration with local employers to directly address key skills needs as identified by companies. The programmes are subsidised to a minimum of 90% of costs and represent an excellent opportunity for those seeking employment or in employment to develop new, in-demand skills aligned to key labour market needs.”
