The Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection, in collaboration with South Dublin County Council, today held an exciting Careers and Apprenticeship Expo in Tallaght Stadium.
Over 40 organisations were at the event, offering a wide range of job, apprenticeship and training opportunities.
Attendees had the opportunity to meet with local and national employers with hundreds of live jobs across a range of sectors including construction, hospitality, transport, logistics, retail, administration, general operatives, healthcare and more.
For those considering an apprenticeship there were live demonstration areas displaying the work of skilled apprentices, including a demonstration on a state of the art VR machine from the ESB. Carpentry assistants from SISK, and live hair and beauty demonstrations were also on display.
Serving members of the Air Corps and the Army were on hand to talk to those interested in a career in the Defence Forces. An Air Corps helicopter and an Army Jeep were at the venue, giving attendees a unique and interactive experience.
