Further to the announcement on Friday 17 June 2022 that the online application system for the €56 million Fodder Support Scheme opened for applications, the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine wish to advise farmers of updates to the application system that will go live in the coming days.
These updates relate to ANC Category 1 land which was being displayed as ineligible for the scheme. This land will now be eligible to apply on where the applicant commits to cut and conserve silage and/or hay on this land before 5 September.
Farmers with ANC Category 1 land are advised not to submit an application under the Scheme until the department announces that the application system has been updated. This will be done via SMS and a further press release in the coming days.
Farmers without Category 1 land who wish to apply for the Fodder Support Scheme can do so either themselves or through their advisor up to 2 August 2022 by logging on to the Exceptional Aid System on agfood.ie.
The Terms and Conditions of the Scheme have been updated and are now available on the department’s website - Fodder Support Scheme
