Government announces appointment of President of the Law Reform Commission

The government today appointed the Honourable Mr. Justice Frank Clarke as President of the Law Reform Commission for a 5-year term. Mr. Justice Clarke retired as Chief Justice in 2021.
The role of the Law Reform Commission is to keep the law under review and to conduct research with a view to the reform of the law. This includes the development of law, its codification (including its simplification and modernisation) and the revision and consolidation of statute law.
