The government has appointed Lisa Vaughan to the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) Board. The SEAI Board sets the strategy and policies for the SEAI and is responsible for the system of internal financial control, ensuring its effectiveness through various processes and procedures.
In accordance with the Sustainable Energy Act 2002, the SEAI Board comprises 12 members (the Board Chair and 11 board members). Appointments to the SEAI Board are made by the Minister for Environment, Climate and Communications with the consent of the Minister for Public Expenditure, NDP Delivery and Reform.
Lisa Vaughan is a Chartered Director with extensive governance experience. She currently serves on the Board of Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM), where she has held pivotal roles, including interim Board Chair and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee. As CEO of the Tipperary Energy Agency, Ms Vaughan leads national projects in energy efficiency and renewable energy, collaborating closely with European institutions and stakeholders on climate action. Additionally, she is a Non-Executive Director at Electric Ireland Superhomes. Ms Vaughan previously held senior roles in Engineers Ireland and Enterprise Ireland.
